Wow what a hike!! This was a very strenuous hike as the trail has a 12-25 percent grade all the way to the top. The views are amazing but prepare yourself for a steep climb.
Be careful of thieves here. They won't come back. The government has done absolutely nothing.
The wind blew pants off
This hiking trail has about 30-45° incline and takes about 3 hours to hike to the lookout point. It is rewarding when you reach the top and the views of the mountains, the gorge and the sunset is absolutely stunning. Parking space is limited and you require a state parking permit. This hiking trail is really popular and it's best to hike during summer as you can spot the wildflowers and catch the sunset.
Love it ❤️
Beautiful every time in any type of weather. Just keep walkin'!
So beautiful in may but it can be a pretty steep hike. Be prepared for some walking. Rowena crest also has some great wildflowers if you don’t want to hike as much. Also need a permit for the spring/busy season.
Real stick-kicker but worth it for the view
